
Pastor Steve McGee first encountered Hillcrest with his young family in the late 1980's while attending Columbia Bible College (now CIU). Pastor Steve McGee first encountered Hillcrest with his young family in the late 1980's while attending Columbia Bible College (now CIU). He preached his first sermon here, built long lasting relationships, and grew tremendously in his walk with Christ. After graduating, he went on to pastor churches in Batesburg, South Florida, Michigan, and eventually serve as a church planter and Bible teacher in Trinidad, West Indies. In 2009, Pastor Steve moved back to America taking on the role of Executive Director with Ministries in Action (MIA) in Miami, FL. He continued to minister in the Caribbean and Latin America through Biblical education, disaster relief teams, and medical missions. In January of 2013, Pastor Steve received a call from Hillcrest asking if he would become their next lead Pastor. He is a graduate of Columbia International University (BA, MA), Greenville Seminary (MDIV), and also holds a doctorate of theology from North Central Theological Seminary.

Josh has served in the role of Associate Pastor since 2015 and was formally ordained to ministry in 2016. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Trinity International University (2015) in Christian Ministry and holds a Master's Degree in Addictions Counseling from Liberty University. He is nearing the end of obtaining his Master of Div
Josh has served in the role of Associate Pastor since 2015 and was formally ordained to ministry in 2016. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Trinity International University (2015) in Christian Ministry and holds a Master's Degree in Addictions Counseling from Liberty University. He is nearing the end of obtaining his Master of Divinity from Liberty Theological Seminary. He is also currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary with an emphasis in expository preaching. He has served on staff with Miami Youth for Christ and was involved in worship leading and youth ministry at various churches in the Miami area for 5 years. Josh enjoys history, music, spending time with his family, traveling, podcasts, reading, coffee, and anything chocolate.
Josh also serves as a Chaplain Candidate with the Army National Guard and holds an ecclesiastical endorsement from the North America Mission Board (NAMB).

Steven is passionate about building the local church through preaching, discipleship, and community outreach. Steven is the founder of Refuge, which partners with individuals and families in the area of addiction recovery. Steven and his wife, Lisa, have been ministering in the greater Columbia area for the past 20 years and are passionate about seeing people meet Jesus and grow in a deeper relationship with Him. In his spare time, you can catch Steven in a local coffee shop reading a book and drinking a good brew.
